Abd Latif Jamaluddin
Founding Partner
Abdul Latif is a native son of Negeri Sembilan. He was with the Royal Malaysia Air Force for 8 years in the 90s with the Operation and Exercise Logistic Division. He specialised with the No 14 Tactical Squadron C130 Transport Aircraft. After which he contributed his services with the Planning and Development Division at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) RMAF HQ.
After serving his country, Latif moved to Kuala Terengganu to fulfill his passion for nature, which resulted in him obtaining his Tourist Guide Licence as a Nature Guide and as a City Guide. From the early 2000s till now, he has held several managerial roles with various resorts namely:
- Lake Kenyir Taman Negara Resort – Sports & Recreation Department, Sales & Marketing and as the Acting GM.
- Petang Island Tasik Kenyir Resort – Resort Manager.
- Colmar Tropical Hotel Berjaya Hill Pahang – Sports and Recreation Manager.
- Dungun Dive Resort – Resort Manager organizing Scuba Diving and Snorkeling activities at Tenggol Island Dungun Terengganu.
- Duta Ria Beach Resort – Resort Manager.
During his course in the air force, Latif also trekked and did mountain climbing in Pahang, Perak, Kelantan, N.Sembilan, Johor ,Melaka and Terengganu. He also acquired various survival skills in water, jungle and swampy scenarios. He also teaches Kayaking, Canoeing and building bamboo rafts.
During your spare time at the campsite, he’d be more than willing to share his survival skills and knowledge with you.
